LYNfabrikken har lavet en række portrætter af os på kontorhotellet. Dette var, hvad der blev skrevet om mig :-)
Meet Julie. An art director and illustrator working from the co-working space at LYNfabrikken.
What do you do?
“I do ad work, graphic design and illustration. From small single drawings to large campaigns and visual identities for both small businesses and big corporations. There are many art directors out there, but I guess it’s a trademark for me, that I can draw. I have taken a bit of a long route to where I am today, but when I was a kid I decided to learn how to draw photorealistic drawings. So I did, and I have been drawing ever since. And now my work is a nice mix of graphic design and illustration.”
What would you like to do?
“It might sound a bit unambitious, but I’m really happy with what I do, and I think I have the coolest job in the world. It’s amazing that I get to use so many sides of myself and get to change between drawing, graphic design and art direction. I guess there is always an underlying thought that it could be great to have your work published worldwide, but global exposure doesn't always mean interesting work. So basically I would just love to keep doing, what I do."
What are you into?
“Drawing! When I’m not with my family and I have some time for myself, I draw. It’s pure meditation for me to either just dive in deep or explore new techniques. But generally I really enjoy enthusiasm. It’s very important for me that I feel enthusiastic about most things I do – even my work. That’s a value I’m very proud to be able to pass on to my kids; that you are able to create exactly the work life, you want. My kids sometimes think that my work is more fun than school, since I get to draw all day. That makes me happy.”
